After 15 years of work experience in the top firms in the city, the firm of Sarah Ifrah Architect Inc was established in March 2009. The practice values the ideas and ideals of its clients and the way they desire to live and enjoy the space around them and is committed to design excellence and full customer satisfaction. Sarah Ifrah Architect Inc has a wide range of experience ranging from interior design and smaller projects to large custom homes and full condominium design. Sarah received her Bachelor of Architecture with Honours from the University of Toronto in 2000 and has been working in the architectural field since 1992. In 2002 Sarah established her firm Sarah Ifrah Design. She worked for seven years providing design services to private clients for their custom new homes or additions.
The projects varied in size from 500 square foot additions to 14,000 square foot homes. The firm provided concept design, design development, permit drawings, construction documents, interior design, and on site administration. Sarah spent four years as a student in the firm of Page+Steele Architects gaining experience in different aspects of architectural projects, including schematic design, design development, interior design, working drawings, specification writing, and on-site review. Subsequently, Sarah spent 9 years at the firm of Richard Wengle Architect Inc. as a senior in the firm, working on various types of new custom homes and extensive renovation to private residential projects. Sarah often took a project from the interview stage with potential clients through to the homes completion. Sarah attended all design meetings, drew the projects through their design stage and construction drawings, created finish schedules, drew interior design packages, conducted site visits and completed the contract administration portions as well.
Sarah worked extensively on Committee preparation and presentation and gained extensive committee and municipal approval experience in all of the municipalities. Sarah also had the opportunity to gain a broad range of experience in design layouts and working drawing packages for townhouses, condominium proposals, and golf clubhouses as well. Most recently, before venturing out on her own full-time to create her current firm Sarah Ifrah Architect Inc, Sarah worked as a senior in the firm of Rafael + Bigauskas Architects managing projects that ranged in size from a seven-storey low-rise extremely high-end condominium to a 44-storey condominium project. Sarah was responsible for all areas of the projects including client liaison as well as design, marketing, and permit drawings. Sarah worked extensively on layout and design of amenity floors, parking garage levels, retail levels, and suite and typical plates. Sarah has a keen eye for detail and a flare for fabulous design while being conscious of her client’s budget and requirements.
